Abstract :
The paper presents an overview of TMN reference configuration research activities jointly conducted by the European telecom actors within the CEC sponsored RACE programme. In particular, the results of project 1053 TERRACE of the TMN reference configuration definition applied to network management are outlined. In addition, the first results of the application of these concepts to the area of service management and external access to management facilities by project 2041 PRISM are presented
