Abstract
Notice of Retraction
After careful and considered review of the content of this paper by a duly constituted expert committee, this paper has been found to be in violation of IEEE´s Publication Principles.
We hereby retract the content of this paper. Reasonable effort should be made to remove all past references to this paper.
The presenting author of this paper has the option to appeal this decision by contacting TPII@ieee.org.
This paper has researched on the adsorption of Cr(VI) in water using peanut shell. The dependence on pH and Cr(VI) concentration of the adsorption was studied. Batch experiments results showed that the adsorptive capacity of peanut shell was 13.39 mg/g of adsorbent. The Langmuir and Freundlich models were used to describe the adsorption equilibrium of Cr(VI) on peanut shell and the adsorption followed the Langmuir isotherm. The Langmuir and Freundlich constants for adsorption of Cr(VI) on peanut shell were determined.
