Abstract :
We demonstrate unrepeated transmission of 20-Gbit/s QPSK signals over a 200-km-long standard single-mode fiber without any optical dispersion compensator. Digital signal processing after homodyne detection enables demodulation and dispersion compensation of the transmitted QPSK signal.
