Abstract :
The possible effect of trimer water cluster on conduction phenomena was investigated in three kinds of liquid dielectrics: di-octhyle-phtalate (DOP), including dimer; acctonitrile, including dimer and much trimer; and mixture of ACT and DOP. It is shown that the greater the concentration of DOP in the mixture is, the less trimer there will be and the smaller the cluster will be. For the conduction test, it is evident that the conduction current is electron current. Moreover, the less trimer there is and the smaller the cluster is, the smaller the electron current will be. It appears that the electronic conduction current is caused by the trimer conductive bridge. It is likely that if a large amount of trimer exists in the liquid material, the conduction current is large
