Abstract :
Ferroelectric photovoltaic device can be used to convert optical energy, such as UV light into electrical energy which can be used to power up electronic circuits in a wireless sensing network. The photovoltaic mechanism exhibits great potential to resolve the energy supply problem in sensing network placed in remote locations. This paper presents the detailed development work on the low-cost ferroelectric photovoltaic thin-film device which can serve as an energy source for the remote circuits. This development is very useful in applications in condition monitoring in industries.
