Abstract :
Dynamic resource allocation strategy is proposed to achieve high capacity and offer multimedia services on TDMA based systems for the next generation cellular system. Using a hybrid channel allocation scheme fully compatible with packet reservation multiple access (PRMA++), this paper presents an analysis of the impact of data traffic on the capacity of an advanced time division multiple access (ATDMA) system. Based on the results, preliminary dimensioning rules have been derived in order to plan such a TDMA system with the STORMS planning tool
