Abstract :
We combine the WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) method that is one of recent advanced optical communication technology and EtherCAT method that is one of the technologies of industrial Ethernet communication. In this paper, we present the technology of bi-directional optical EtherCAT with single optical core of WDM. Through this process, we can solve wiring problem of optical network and we also can implement the dual system.
