Abstract :
Performances of the typical Maximum Power Point Trackers (MPPTs) are compared and analyzed based on the simulation results. In the simulation, whole current-voltage (I-V) characteristics are calculated by 0.01 [s] to realize the stepped I-V characteristics affected by a partial shadow. In the previous research, the temperature variation was not taken into consideration. In this study, two cases, with considering and without considering the temperature variation are simulated and compared. Three conventional MPPT algorithms, the perturb and observation, the incremental conductance, and the constant voltage are simulated and analyzed in detail based on their trends of the operating point and the total output energies.
