Abstract
Silicone gel based products are now becoming accepted as a primary method of jointing power cables. This paper discusses a new silicone gel that is specifically tested and formulated for the rigors of power cable application. This paper also reviews some of the wide range of applications for the technology and the designs that lead to reliable, easily installed, accessories for power cables worldwide
