Abstract
This paper deals to the improvements in the mobile part of a double stator linear stepping actuator which is dedicated to the motorization of shunting system for the railways channels. The high mass of the mobile part consists a great problem in the design of this actuator. Three different structures of the mobile part are proposed in this work and analysed by finite elements analysis in order to minimise the mass of the actuator and to improve the dynamic of the global system.
