Abstract
The study of renewable energy takes more importance and an admirable development during these lasts years such as the wind power which takes part to minimize the fuel cost used in the thermal centrals. This paper gives the influence of a wind generator in the optimization of the economic dispatch problem; this wind is included in a distribution network. Two methods are developed to solve this problem, the first is evolutionary represented by the genetic algorithm GA and the second is determinist represented by the interior point IP to confirm the results obtained by the first. A comparison between results obtained before including a wind penetration and after is done to show the deference and the influence of wind penetration.
