Abstract :
Using cases for teaching and learning has received growing attention in teacher training programs. This project intends to build a Web forum for student teachers to discuss their problems and solutions through case writing and discussion during the internship year. After the implementation, it was found that participation was not sufficient, and there were many unexpected problems. Social cultural factors such as the lack of time and money and the concerns for privacy were among reasons for unsuccessful implementation. Most of the participants reported positive aspects of the Web case forum after the experimental period, but it was not realized at the time. In retrospect, the researcher discusses the meaning of success and failure of technology implementation from the problems encountered in the process. It was concluded that technology adaptation is a long process and that failure, more than success, may give lights to future technological improvement.
