Abstract :
Image segmentation is a popular research topic in the field of image processing. In this paper, we propose a new image segmentation method. To solve the problem of the previous entropic thresholding method using a traditional histogram, grey levels are embedded in the traditional histogram and applied in the entropic thresholding algorithm. Experimental results show that the modified method proposed in this paper is feasible and can significantly improve the performance of image segmentation.
