  • Abstract
The variation of the channel destroys the orthogonality among the subcarriers, resulting in intercarrier interference (ICI), and degrades the performance of OFDM systems significantly when the channel impulse response(CIR) varies very fast. It makes channel estimation more difficult as well. In this paper we proposed a joint pilot-aided time-domain ICI estimation and frequency-domain ICI mitigation scheme on the assumption that the CIR varies in a linear fashion with time. To reduce the complexity of the estimation and mitigation algorithm, low rank approximation of the ICI coefficients matrix is applied. As we can see from the simulation results, the proposed scheme performs well on fast fading channel.
