  • Abstract
    The channel capacity performance of ultra-wide bandwidth systems using the dual-pulse receiver is optimized with respect to the time delay between the reference and adjacent data pulses. Approximate and theoretical expressions for the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio are derived. Numerical results show that the optimized receiver can provide a significant capacity improvement of up to 3.4 bits/Sec/GHz.
