Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. Dust particles in plasmas can be confined vertically and/or horizontally with respect to the electrode near a plasma boundary in the presence of an auxiliary confining ring electrode. The trapped particles are known to form a well-defined lattice structure in the case of massive particle density due to the Yukawa-type particle-particle interaction. In this work, a lattice shape is constructed through numerical simulation of plasma boundary structure based on the measurement of global plasma parameters such as plasma density and temperature. The obtained lattice structure is compared with the measured structure observed in a dc argon dusty plasma. The result shows that they are in qualitative agreement, and a detailed discussion will be provided.
