Abstract :
A method for estimating the roll angle of an airborne vehicle from its video camera is presented. The process is subdivided into three parts: a decision process for locating the reference templates; an improved matching algorithm which is suitable for uniform pictures; and a fast estimator based on the matching techniques. A comprehensive approach to the problem is shown
