Abstract
Experience with the operation of a medium-size corporate-industrial in-house commercial publishing operation is described. The rationale that underlies the operation and the philosophy that surrounds the thinking, planning, reasoning, and experimentation are aimed at creating a more productive publishing operation. It is concluded that this philosophy has worked well for the corporation, the client or constituent, the final customer, and, just as important, the people that make up the publishing operation
