Abstract
Nonlinear decision feedback receivers for the asynchronous CDMA channel are examined. A description and comparison of the two nonlinear decision feedback algorithms that have been proposed for this environment leads to a new hybrid approach. This hybrid decision feedback equalizer is shown through simulations to greatly outperform, in certain situations, the two approaches that have been proposed so far and to approach the performance of the maximum likelihood sequence estimator
