Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. The Electron-Beam Plasma (EBP) is generated by injection of an Electron Beam (EB) into a gas, the typical range of gas pressure being /spl sim/ 0.1-10/sup 3/ Torr. To produce the EBP a cylindrical, strip and tubular EB with the power /spl sim/ 0.1-10 kW were used. The energy of the accelerated electrons was within the range 20-100 keV. The EBP and HP were proved to be promising for aerospace applications including on-board and land-based technologies and the technologies in free space plasma-assisted processes in aircraft engines and in on-board power plants.
