Abstract :
After almost a decade of research and development, deployment of ATM is at hand. The paper describes how ATM is being introduced in private and public networks, focusing on two critical issues-interworking to existing customer premises equipment (e.g. routers, workstations, and video codecs) and interworking across multiple networks (e.g. private, LEC, and IC)
