The development of the beam profile and the emittance measuring system for the low energy proton beam of 50 keV is planned for the Korea Multi-purpose Accelerator Complex (KOMAC) POSTECH. For the beam profile monitoring (BPRM) and the emittance measuring system, we have constructed a 2.45-GHz ECRIS equipped with the beam focusing and extraction electrodes. The extraction structure is triode type and has accel and decel electrodes. For pulsed beam extraction, we also built a pulse generator capable of providing the maximun voltage of 50 kV with 20 /spl mu/s pulse length. A preliminary beam extraction test has been performed successfully. In this paper we report the test results of ECRIS including the design details of the ECRIS and the low energy beam emittance measuring system for KOMAC.
