Abstract
Now we are facing a new era in which the world is composed of tremendous smart devices based on embedded systems. In such an era, most applications are distributed computing, contextual computing and recomposed computing in dynamic, distributed environments. How to develop a system infrastructure to enable these evolutionary applications is a hot research topic. Impacting characteristics of pervasive computing is deeply probed and spontaneous networking (SN) as an infrastructure is introduced in this paper. Furthermore SN is analyzed in detail and several SN research projects are briefly given.
