Abstract :
This paper presents a compact waveguide-output UTC-PD module that integrates a UTC-PD and a HEMT pre-amplifier (PD-amp module), which is suitable for practical applications. A transmission experiment of 10 Gbit/s signal is also shown to demonstrate the feasibility of the fabricated module.
