Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. At PEFP (Proton Engineering Frontier Project), the ion source capable of 21 mA, 50 keV proton beam is matched to the 3.0 MeV RFQ using the two solenoid LEBT The low-energy beam transport system (LEBT) uses two solenoid and two steering magnets for the beam position and angle control at the RFQ match point. First experimental results of beam position and profile in the LEBT will be presented and discussed by using a beam profile monitor (BPM) having the rotating helical scanning wire.
