Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. A 350 MHz CW radiofrequency quadrupole (RFQ) linac has been fabricated to accelerate a 20-mA proton beam from 50 keV to 450 keV RF field distribution measurement of a resonant cavity was achieved by bead-pull technique. Based on the perturbation method, the acquisition of the S11 or S21 transmission coefficient phase shift is synchronized with the displacement of a bead.
