Abstract
This work proposes a novel optical frequency comb, the flattened sideband generator, based on a sinusoidal amplitude-phase hybrid modulation technique. This study introduces the principle, characteristics, and prototype of the side-band generator. The application of the prototype to wide-area WDM access networks and millimeter-wave generation is also presented.
