Abstract
The authors describe the integration of a laboratory component in DSP education at each of the following institutions: Roger Williams University, Bradley University, and the California State University, Chico. The laboratory component reinforces and enhances the theoretical DSP topics. Hardware tools were incorporated based on the fixed- and floating-point TMS320 family of processors and the fixed-point DSP56001 processor. The different approaches taken for integrating the laboratory component are presented.<>
