Abstract :
This paper shows that the optimized motors for a low-speed high-torque drive system with SPWM inverter power supply are the permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMS motors), the key points of the PMS motor design is to make the interior potential in the armature windings become a sinusoidal waveform. The paper poses an argument of the design principles of the PMS motors and reports the experiment results
