Abstract :
This paper elucidates the construction and principle of the permanent magnet starter motor with auxiliary pole (PMSMAP), analyses its performances, and gives the corresponding analytical method. The advantages and value of this kind of starter motor are pointed out after the development of a PMSMAP and the comparison with the existing product. The experimental results prove the validity and correctness of the method
