Abstract
In the design analysis of permanent-magnet machine, an equivalent magnetic network model (EMNM) is built up by use of the flux-tube method. A new design analysis program based on this model is developed, which is suitable for different kinds of rotor magnetic constructions. The Newton-Raphson iterative pattern is derived for the solution of the node potential equations. Some key electromagnetic parameters are calculated from the node potentials, and compared with FEM and experimental results
