Abstract
A hybrid I/O™ display device is developed, that utilizes an emissive light valve approach with a potential luminous efficiency ∼10-40× higher than LCD light valves. We use light wave coupling (LWC) in a light storage plate to couple two extremely efficient light sources: inorganic violet light sources and organic RGB lumophores.
