Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. Summary form only given. With peculiar structure and performance, melt-blown PBT nonwoven fabrics, which is treated by plasma, is regarded as perfect materials to transfuse white blood cells (WBC) from blood. Improved dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) equipment and technique have been used to modify the surface of PBT melt-blown nonwovens. In this paper, with the diagnoses of parameters such as plasma discharge voltage, discharge current, discharge power, gap between the electrodes, treatment period, working gas and their relations, we have systematically investigated the various influence on surface modification of PBT melt-blown nonwovens and their aging effect. In addition, the method of spectrum analysis is also be used for diagnosing plasma parameters such as electron density and electron temperature. Our results show that the wettability and permeation of treated PBT melt-blown nonwovens are both greatly improved.
