Abstract :
The configuration of the four-phase 16/12 structure switched reluctance motor and the four-phase 8/6 structure switched reluctance motor are presented. The principles of the two type motors are given. The comparison of the two types of the four-phase motors is made, such as the turn numbers of per stator pole coil in the motors and the basic output frequency of the power converter. The comparison of the four-phase 16/12 motor and the three-phase 12/8 motor is also made at the same operational condition and the same volume
