Abstract :
Many regions in Russia have no centralized electricity supply because of their geographical location. The large numbers of consumers who live in these regions and who are supplied with electricity from autonomous energy systems require that the issues of development and optimization of their electricity supply be urgently solved. Taking into account variable electricity generation, availability of energy storage systems, as well as requirements for power quality and electricity supply reliability, a complex solving algorithm is needed. In the paper the author analyzes the specific features of microgrid operation in different seasons of the year and different time of the day, formulates a set of tasks related to the control of microgrid operation and discusses specific features for their solution. The main principles for investigating such a system are suggested. A case study is introduced and calculation results are discussed.
