Abstract :
Q-band compact transmit/receive modules for active phased array antenna systems have been developed. The modules are comprised of a complete GaAs MMIC chip set including high power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, mixers and phase shifters. The MMICs are integrated on low temperature co-fired ceramics packages that passive circuits are embedded in. Each module size is 25.6 mm × 54.4 mm × 3.9 mm. The transmit module exhibits 19 dBm output power in 44 GHz. The receive module exhibits 6.5 dB noise figure in 47 GHz.
