Abstract
This Paper presents dynamic analysis of dc and ac excited flywheel generators for pulsed load of a fusion reactor. Simulations are carried out using PSCAD/EMTDC software and the performance of flywheel generator connected to the electricity grid under various operating conditions is analyzed and compared. The study is helpful in designing power system with flywheel energy storage.
