Abstract
This paper deals with the issue of the accuracy in modeling conformal automotive glass antennas operating across the FM band. A monopole antenna embedded in the side glass window of a stylized full-scale car model is analyzed using both frequency domain “source method” and time domain “field method” electromagnetic (EM) solvers. Numerical results are compared with measurements made in a far field open range on a physical model identical to the virtual one, in order to cross-validate EM simulations and measures.
