Abstract :
A novel method (finite volume method) is presented to investigate the eddy current loss models from TEAM Problem 21. The eddy current distribution of 50 Hz in a nonferrous steel plate is calculated. The computed result of the current vector potential T has the same trend with the distribution of the measured result. The magnetic induction B on some certain positions by means of T is also calculated. The comparison of the computed sum of B with the measured B in the same positions shows that the calculated value has the same trend with the measured value and it is accurate enough
