Abstract :
The quality assurance of end products in the manufacturing companies is determined by manual inspection of the quality attributes. The quality attributes of end products include physical properties such as weight, dimensions, shrinkage, color, surface roughness etc. The quality of end products can be assured by determining the proper and optimized set of process variables. An efficient and robust measure of quality requires a computer based optimization rather than end product quality verification. A nonlinear mathematical model was used to determine the optimized set of process variables for the expected quality of end products. The optimum machine set points of operation were determined corresponding to the quality parameters that are within the desired tolerance using newly developed software
