  • Abstract
    An intelligent controller for an oil-pumping unit is described in this paper. The controller can be used not only to save energy but also to monitor and control the oil-pumping unit through the central computer. Based on analyzing the relationship among load ratio, firing angle and power factor, a novel control strategy for improving power factor is proposed. The system configuration and simulation results are presented in the paper
