Abstract :
This paper investigates and undertakes simulation-based comparison of on-demand routing protocols in multi ad hoc networks. First, it investigates the mobility factors affecting the performance of ad hoc on-demand distance vector (AODV) and dynamic source routing (DSR). Second, it considers proposing a scenario of non-mobility and mobility in multi ad hoc network domains and their inter-communication using above two routing protocols separately. Mobility has special impact on system throughput and also affecting the performances of routing protocols. The simulation results show that throughput for AODV is better than both DSR by 50%. AODV has 25% lower delay than DSR for large number of nodes (15 nodes). This paper outperforms the scenario in both mobile and non-mobile mode explaining brief comparison on the impact of network. The simulation is based on the application scenario model implemented on Opnetworks 10.5
