Abstract
In this paper five hybrid CA rule sets are proposed which are well suited for cryptographic design. The cryptographic properties such as nonlinearity, balancedness, resiliency, number of degree terms and cycle lengths for all the constructed rulesets are computed. It is shown that the constructed rule sets have very good cryptographic properties compared to existing rule sets. Also sequence generated from rule sets passed Diehard randomness test.
