Abstract :
A semi-autonomous frame synchronization scheme for a time division multiple access (TDMA)-time division duplexing (TDD) personal communication system is proposed to realize accurate frame synchronization in a simple manner. The proposed scheme employs geographical data to decide transmission timing, in addition to received frame timings. All base stations are synchronized autonomously to each other. Computer simulation results show that the TDMA frames of all base stations converge accurately
