Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. This paper will present the results of an analysis of nonlinear behavior in TWTs. Specifically, the role of the beam space charge will be examined using a non-linear Pierce analysis, while information on signal distortion will be obtained through the nonlinear dynamical equations for the mode amplitude and phase. General trends and predictions will be compared and contrasted with simulation results using the helix TWT code, CHRISTINE.
