Abstract :
MILLENER is one of the first selected projects in the French “Investissements d´Avenir” call for smart grids. It is dedicated to the householders of the French Islands. The main goals of this project are: First, the development of methods and tools that increase at residential level the integration of distributed Renewable Energy Sources (RES) PV and storage. Second, in the context of fragile small island systems, the development of methods and tools to manage power demand (peak shaving) and energy demand, thanks to systems aggregation regarding the grid operator. Third, the study of customer´s behavior regarding energy management boxes, displays consumer devices and smart appliances for Demand Side Management (DSM). The deployment is in progress on the islands. This paper presents the Use Cases expected and the first issues solved during the development phase.
