Abstract :
The model of driving simulation system for special heavy vehicle based on virtual reality is built. The principle of system is: dynamic driving simulation software process the operating signal sent by driver, to figure out the signals of virtual scene, movement, and sound according to kinemics and dynamics model, then output them to projector and cylinder, 6-DOF Stewart mechanisms and sound player separately. This information of vision, movement perceive and hearing is feedback to driver to realize real-time interaction between driver and simulation system. Based on principle of every module, driving simulation system for special heavy vehicle is developed. The system scene and Stewart mechanisms control experiments show that the system model principle is reasonable and the system is similar to real vehicle closely.
