Abstract :
A method for investigating the crosstalk between the interleaved transmit and receive antennas of a frequency-modulated, continuous wave radar system is presented. The achievable antenna isolation is evaluated by means of numerical simulations based on the finite-difference, time-domain technique. The accuracy of the prediction is validated against the measurements carried out on a number of manufactured prototypes.
