Abstract :
In order to get a design space in optimization modeling phase sooner and better, an effective design space ascertained algorithm based on design optimization parameter steering mechanism was proposed. In the algorithm a rough design space was assigned first. Then every design variable value was adjusted to a “green corridor” that satisfied system restrictions through parameter steering mechanism step by step. Finally all variables value ranges were gotten, and so an effective design space was ascertained. Applying the algorithm in a design optimization for some motor, it was found that its design space reduced greatly. Then optimization efficiency was improved by 34%. It is showed that the algorithm provides an intuitive, fast and high efficient means to get an effective design space.
