Abstract
With the development of the computer graphics and virtual reality, there are more and more studies on airplane navigation. At the beginning of our paper, we analyze the problem of these navigation systems in existence. And then the paper proposes a new method of plane navigation based on engineering Three-View Graphics to solve these problems. The new method can give the distance information to the pilot more clearly than the 3D navigation, because it shows the exact numerical information to the pilots. The method can also visualize the position of the plane and the terrain around. It can assist the pilot to make flight decision in dark environment and atrocious weather. At last, the paper realizes the method based on OpenGL, and analyzes the result when the plane was in a position at a special moment. We can get many digital results from the visualization which can not be obtained from the 3D navigation map and many other navigation systems.
